A CO-CREATIVE POEM

Posted on Aug 1st, 2008 by SentientFire : Metaopener SentientFire

I would like to present a wonderful example of co-creative artistry in action.  This is a poem co-created by members of the DREAMS OF ARTISTS pod from an exercise and initial computer artwork I posted.  The paragraphs in the order of first, me -Alex SentientFire, then KES, next Jaki Meenakshi Nara-Narayana Dave & Brian.

This unfolded further into a beautiful song sung by fellow pod member Jaki, which then flowed further into the electric aether in the form of a video posted on YouTube by pod creator Kathy (KES).  Here is the poem below and here are the links to the artwork, video and song that are part of its overall expression.

The Play Room

Spaces shift and turn spiraling into everything
Time melts away into our souls for eternity
Spinning a thousand selves crash into Unity
I hold Space in my hands as I grasp my self
Silence drives us mad in the Heavens

What have I observed?
I considered for a split second,
the roof peeled off,
the walls fell back,
my space expanded.
And it keeps expanding and expanding
and growing and growing until
I am unable to contain myself
and sobbing with happiness.

For within me I feel Spirit soar
In this magnificent room with walls
No ceiling above, yet containing eternity
I have uncovered within me
A galaxy of the unknown
While traveling in my room
Becoming one with all

Light spirals in ever-changing hues
Resonating within as it expands into the heavens
All creation watches in suspense
The manifestation of an infinite potentiality
A burst of song permeates the universe
The song celestial bursts out of unity

My consci-yes-ness grows, every time a door swings open
from space to the oceans with all of it's commotions.
I try-angles as I attempt to mingle with the flow.
The universe disperses all of its colors
submerging in the eye of my mind, as I fly
you can hear me Humming-birds pass me by.
Water-falls as the moon swoons I can't help but swirl
as my world rotates, I sit and wait. What can I say.
I AM glowing while knowing, I AM MEs-MEre-EYE-sed!

Soaring through the vacuum of the known
Trusting my heart to guide me home
Further distance from the core of want
Gravity pulls back, with elastic taunt
Fighting the forces, breaking free
Leaps of quantum color to finding me.

My senses are dazzled by the view of it all, from the big to the small,
life is grand in all of its forms. The world is so diverse, from the birds to the tree
and the dolphins in the seas. It pleases me to know that I am it, and it is me.
As I sit and look upon this scene, I think of what to write,
in spite of myself, the words get lost as my breath is taken away.
I try to write this po...um, where was I? Oh yes!
This glorious view that transcend the cosmos, keeps grabbing my attention
with the intention to bring me back home.
Home is what I see,and that is where I long to be.
So you see, I must now go, as I once again join the flow...

What does it mean to be in relationship?

Posted on Dec 27th, 2007 by SentientFire : Metaopener SentientFire
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 27, 2007:

A communication and co-creation of beings. When you can look someone in the eyes and see beyond your own reflection. Then you are IN a relationship. This has no conditions, only intent, even aurguments are part of the co-creation and evolution and are accepted. Love is the unifier allowing each person to become unique multidimensional individuals while at the same time creating a greater sense of Oneness.

How did you learn to think for yourself?

Posted on Dec 16th, 2007 by SentientFire : Metaopener SentientFire
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 11, 2007:

Well..I graduated from high school and opened my eyes for the first time and lo and behold I found there was much more to reality than I had thought, so I unpacked my box, took myself out, and left the empty box behind for the other people in the world who boxes to put thmeselves in :)

Poem - Imagination

Posted on Dec 10th, 2007 by SentientFire : Metaopener SentientFire

 Imagination

I am once again the victim of my own imagination
As I silently observe people, ignoring me..
I wonder why they close themselves off in constricted
 shells of reality
Why they won't free themselves of this burden which
 they desperately cling to
as if their lives depended on it..
Why they cannot be open..and see the infinite
 creativity around them..in them..
Why they won't allow themselves to communicate and
 express themselves..as they want to..
Thoughts turn to emotion, emotion becomes depression..
Imagination becomes my lover in this romantic game of
 thinking and feeling we play
Here I am, alone, and broken hearted, as my
imagination has seduced me once again..
 There is no love

I see how the relationship could have been..and may still be
As my imagination is also the victim here..of my abuse
 and indifference
But now, we are friends again..learning
 together..creating together..victims no more
 Or so I imagine..

Poem - Fear of Enlightenment

Posted on Dec 8th, 2007 by SentientFire : Metaopener SentientFire

Thoughts converge on jaded wings
filling the silence of forgotten things
Wake up my children, can you hear...
the silence singing beneath your fear

Shadows cry tears of joy and love
falling on hearts from below and above
Clouds of ideas cover fading sunlight
carrying warriors who fell in the night

The world swallows itself in ritual dances
giving birth to the sun that follows the trances
Stars from the Heavens shatter our dreams
making love to desires on golden streams

Moments of time conspire and plan
lost in the cracks of the heart of man
Silence and Freedom travel the open seas
on a ship without sails and imaginary breeze

Just Do It!

Posted on Nov 16th, 2007 by SentientFire : Metaopener SentientFire
Just Do It!

As I sit here writing this, I am looking at the aspects of my 'decision point' or the factors that went into making the decision or choice to sit here and write this, and the difference between a choice and a decision. As Bryan Flournoy expressed rather eloquently, decisions block our ability to make choices. Decisions are often based on patterns of deciding such as what feels right, looks right, sounds right, etc..its what compels us to act in this way or that. We often 'know' we should do something or want to do something, such as making a positive change in our lives, but this inner knowing and feeling can get overshadowed by other emotional polarities or distractions which keep us from following through and making a firm decision from our initial choice to make a change. I have found in my own life that I have created a polarity that sometimes keeps me from being able to integrate certain aspects of information, because I 'intellectualize' it. What I mean by that is in hearing something or realizing something that can help facilitate a positive change in my life or idea with much potential, I will understand it and agree with it intellectually, but then after the initial feeling wares off I go back to my general patterns of experience which keeps this new or remembered understanding from being fully integrated into my consciousness.

So this information and insight gets put on a list of things I want to do or impliment, but without the emotional integration that comes from experience it generally stays there. So the old Nike motto 'Just Do It', which is perhaps one of the best things Nike ever created :) really is a method for integrating intuition and will in a balanced way.

What do you do? Well whatever you can that feels right, whether cleaning, writing, organizing, working on a project, etc. The point is to begin focusing something that you want to do or that you need to do, but from the perspective that 'this is my meditation' for today. Knowing that the experience itself will help you to integrate many aspects of things you might only know intellectually, and help you realize many new aspects you might not have thought of. All experiences are connected, so by working on something, whether it is creating, or general labor, by accepting this focus whatever it is, you will begin to open the space for a deeper awareness of the experience, which can then allow you to easily move on to something else that you might not have wanted to do or that you couldn't get yourself to start doing.

Poem - The Teacher

Posted on Nov 14th, 2007 by SentientFire : Metaopener SentientFire

I am the teacher
as I sit in class and listen to the echoes of knowledge

I am the teacher
as I watch carefully what others do that I cannot

I am the teacher
as I read the wisdom written down on the pages of the world

I am the teacher
as the world learns to sing its song through me
